Resetting a multi-factor credential

As an admin, you might need to reset a user’s MFA credential. For example, if they have changed devices and no longer have access to their MFA authenticator

To do this:

  1. Go to Users & groups and find the user

  2. Go to the Account tab

  3. Select ‘Reset credentials’

  1. The user will be sent a new temporary password to log in with, after which they can set a new password and set up a new MFA app
